omega

It's already the last day of 2006 yet the granite-colored sky looks like it was stolen from a day in August. If that's supposed to be a bad omen, then hell with it; I'm not afraid of a little rain. Besides, if it rains later, it'd be a silent New Year: something vastly different from all the past year characterized by blasts and smoke (which the dog and the cat are not particularly fond of--the turtles, as useless, don't seem to mind). I haven't done as well as I hoped to this year, but then again some people say I pressure myself too much.

Stupid copy-protect thing prevents sandwich CD from playing properly on laptop. Damn. And they're back home--I sense another round of Monopoly coming.

ellipsis

While I'm waiting for the webpage to load and for the replies in #prose (phone lines are still down), I remember the man who was crushed dead by the skeleton of consumerism that fell along the highway of peaceful revolutions and holiday traffic jams. Pretty sad end for someone who probably didn't even have the money to buy the status (not necessarily the beauty--then again, beauty can be bought nowadays, too) of the model on that ad.

And yes, with the opening of the Rose Item mall, there'd be the ranters again, complaining that it's too expensive. Except for the wings, I'd say all other items are reasonably priced. Too expensive? Don't buy, simple as that. Or look for a way to earn more irl money (but I'd rather spend them on books; the only item I'll buy are those Speed Wings for the Cart and Seraph Wings for my champ). They're not essential to play the game anyway.

drown

Here I am again trying to fill my empty white text box with the words that I hope are of meaning; I try to drown myself in supposed meaning. I am back up here in my little fort overlooking the sala, but no one is in there except for a suitcase and a couple of bags. Everyone's in the dining room again, having those family meeting things that I'm not really supposed to attend and don't really care to attend. After all, I never was of any use in confrontations; even for the supposed greater good.

That's why I hide, here in my little fort. Besides, when I see enemies approaching, hiking upwards the stairs, I have enough time to mount my defences.

leaving

Yes, I've officially left the building. They've been surprised and angry and whatnot, but what the heck, I'm tired of it. Let them stress over it--I'm tired of managing things all by my own. I give the power back to them; let them. They're going to get over it in a few days I'm sure.

Just so easy to throw a match unto a heap of gasoline-soaked rags then watch it illuminate the night sky.

soundtrip

So I finally used my gc's that I received for Christmas and bought myself 3 CDs: Blush by Imago, 2StepMarv by Kjwan, and Five on the Floor by sandwich. I've run through all three earlier; and the verdicts? Kjwan's sound hasn't really changed a lot--although the thank you rap midway the last track was a bit of a shock. These are the last people that you'd expect to rap. Their separating the lyrics sheet from the album cover is also nice--I used to ruin the album covers because of over-reading the lyrics.

Imago, however, has a "lighter", more pop sound in other tracks, but the last few tracks retain their original sound. My instant fave from this album is "SRO"--really really love the first stanza. The album packaging is very original, too.

Five on the Floor came with a little surprise--a small Five on the Floor sticker that is now stuck near the touchpad of my laptop. This is my first sandwich album, to be honest, but I've heard some of their old cuts (with Marc Abaya on vocals then) and yes, also more of a pop sound now too. My faves on the album are "Resbak" (it's a nice theme song for a match in the pvp room or DOD, "Sugod", "DVDX", and "Let You Cellphone Shine" (I really like the lyrics--now you know where to watch out for them after a gig).

So..."SRO"'s playing again for a second run. Let its lyrics speak for itself.

EDIT:
I can't put the s inside the brackets to spell sandwich--the coding gets screwed nd puts a strikethrough on everything. lol.

26.12.06

point blank

I am here trying to fill a white gap upon memory, groping for words in the dark. Do not take me seriously now, this would be mostly a wordplay of sorts. Conversations go on in the background yet all is silent. I am here yet never there.

It is now just a reality happening on two simultaneous planes.

25.12.06

relativity

No, no physics here. I'm just up here again in my little fort overlooking the sala, peering over a battalion of new-found relatives of ours, including many little shrieking kids (that I'm not particularly too fond of). I can't play properly at the moment--I keep on getting disconnected by somebody's incoming call--so I just decided to write, listen to nu107 over the net (occasionally sing along too), and sharing memories on YM.

Yes I am pretty much bored again.

Plus, even with the x2 mod, there's nothing much that I could play for yet. I'm just probably waiting for the next armor set to come along or item mall--whichever comes first.

So yes, I guess I'll be writing still for a while. They haven't left yet, it's already 10pm, you get my drift. Long night again. And they call this Christmas break.

Irony.

EDIT:
I can't find my cds; I really really want a dose of Kjwan now. I'll have to content myself with Daliri playing right now. =/

23.12.06

red iced tea

Here I am again still writing even after several huge pitchers of iced tea (yum accgd to everyone), lots of veggies chopped, a giant bar of Eden cheese grated, a few chunks of leche flan and an almost overdose of caffeine. Even though I missed the Bring Me event (grats to gulay for nabbing 2nd place), the family reunion more than compensates for it, though I expect to have aches all over tomorrow from all that chopping and what not.

Guess that now makes for an alternate career: a red iced tea stall.

21.12.06

rainshower

Next time, please remind me to bring an umbrella. Along with 3 soggy boxes, I trugded into the house earlier, pretty much pissed off at what has happened. Hey, I have no qualms about getting soaked by the rain, but I only want that to happen when I'm not carrying anything that could be damaged by water. So when I got home, I had them dried out, but obviously, it's beyond repair.

Good thing Rose now runs on my laptop, or else it'd be a pretty bad day.

morning

Sunny Pig and my Lola's calls have ended so here I am back posting. Rose Xmas event wil be patched later, along with the quest bug fix, so I'm really excited about later. In the meantime, though, I have to get an extension for the network cable--it's way too short, and it defeats its purposse if I always have to bring my laptop downstairs just to use it. After breakfast I'll go out and buy one; hope it's not too expensive.

Just waiting.

20.12.06

fighting slumber

So here I am already half-asleep after a pretty tiring day of gift-shopping and movie-watching. At least that's all the shopping I need to do for the season, and "All the King's Men" was pretty good albeit for the pretty boring start. A must-see for every aspiring politician out there, especially for those with noble intentions at the beginning.

That's enough for now, I suppose. I am too tired to think of anything.

19.12.06

flame

Here goes one of those people on the Roseboards. Too bad I'm not in the mood to ignore posts/people/everything today, and well, I posted a two-sentence reply. It's still worded nicely, of course, I won't go far down to his level.

I don't understand them, really. They are just all complaints. Like the people who complain that the country is crap and do nothing about it--they only make the situation worse. And they don't see that they're making it worse; they even think that they do the world (both virtual and real) a great service. It'd be so nice to make them realize that real saviors act, and when they preach, they send a message of love and all that mushy but good stuff.

Let's see if he replies.

EDIT:
It's already 7.43 and still no reply. Haha one down again! >:)

halfway

That pretty much sums up my whole state right now. I am halfway through everything that I do--everything from acads (I've finished with that decor-from-old-cds actual project but haven't done the paperwork and finished the notes on that article, yes, only the notes) to my online life (halfway through fixing the clansite and my target level for the hawker) and stuff. I just need that final push to get to the finish line; but that almost never arrives on time, except for the acads. Plus the so-called Christmas rush is starting--Lola's starting to fuss about wht to serve for the family reunion and I've got to run some errands tomorrow.

It's odd, actually, I know I've got time to do everything, but I feel that in the end I won't have any. And even if I try to start now, it ends as a half-baked attempt at what it's supposed to be, then I'd throw it in the trash bin and start again. Again.

Like this blog. Probably the story of my life. Start, stop halfway, restart.

written last sept. 11, 06--five years after

9/11/06

8.46am.

It's been five years since

Sister last went to work

(A new job)
Son flew his last flight

(Just the usual coast-to-coast thing)
Father said goodbye and went inside

(I have a job to do)

Then remember the things left
unsaid
Enveloped in plumes of gray smoke
while the whole world watches.

Flowers and condolences are left at doorsteps;
no one knew it was just to be the start of a greater tragedy.

As the years pass,
it'll all be
just another footnote
in the history books.

another blog...again.

Here I am again, starting on another blog that's probably going to last for as long as my short attention span allows. I'm supposed to be cleaning my room right now, but I thought I'd give myself a break and well, start another blog out of boredom. Like I'll sustain this; I'm sure after the 5th or 6th post this'll be dead.

Well, here's a rather half-hearted cheer to a new blog. =/

EDIT:
I am currently in need of good (meaning free, too) ebooks. Just send me an email and, well, I'll give a big thank you in return. And I'll be uploading some of my earlier stuffs from the pc in a while.
